Meet Our Board Members

Ann Felton Gilliland

Ann joined the board of Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity (COHFH) in 1990 and currently serves as the chairman and CEO for the organization. When she began serving on the board there was no staff, little money, and the office was housed in a tiny room of a local Presbyterian ministry. Under her leadership, COHFH has gone from building 2-3 houses annually to 40-45, with over 1,036 Habitat homes now located in the Oklahoma City metro area. The staff consists of more than 50 full-time employees who facilitate construction and repair operations, administration, and the operation of two ReStore retail stores.

Henry Bockus

Henry's favorite day of the week was Monday. He would say, "Everything is ahead of us!" He went to bed smiling and woke up smiling. With no fear of being repetitive, he lived well, he laughed often and he loved much. He often said he was blessed more than he deserved and he was better than good. On a scale of 1 to 10, he was always a 12.

Henry Bockus joined the board in 2019 and became Vendor Relations Manager of COHFH’s ReStores.

He passed on September 5, 2021, fulfilling his hope to leave this world a better place than he found it.

Nancy Riddell

Remembering a life lived in service…

It is with deep sadness that we say our final farewells to long-term COHFH board member Nancy Riddell, who passed from this life on December 15, 2020.

Nancy and her late husband, Harry, were such an integral part of the COHFH affordable housing ministry from its inception. Harry, who served on the first board, and Nancy who followed in his footsteps serving for nearly three decades. Nancy was a fixture at house dedications as she performed the blessings, presented the family with their new bible, or reading the liturgy. She also served on several COHFH committees during her tenure. A committed part of our organization, Nancy was the heartbeat of the board she so warmly embraced her many years.

Though we feel the loss deeply, we are comforted to know that she was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven with a hearty “Well done, good and faithful servant”, and is in the presence of the God she so faithfully served in her lifetime.
